My 21st Birthday

So 2 weeks ago was my 21st birthday! Adam made me breakfast in the morning and then I took him to work. I started off the day by running 5 miles, went to lunch with Makenna and then visited my friend Brette who was just diagnosed with Lukemia.
For dinner Adam and I went to the Pizza Factory, by the way you get a free pizza in the shape of your age on your birthday!! It was yummy!

Adam went to go take the picture and the pizza started to slip. It looks like I am shocked I am 21!

This is the cool, free 21 shaped pizza I got on my birthday!

My cute husband and me!!

After dinner we came home and Adam gave me his gift. It was an envelope full of random pictures and money. He told me that the pictures were like a map of what we were going to do on Friday. I put them in order starting from Mapleton and stopping at different shopping stores and ending in a hotel in Salt Lake. I am so lucky to have an amazing husband and I love him so much!!

After I opened Adams gift I wanted to make a birthday cake. It was pink with a lot of sprinkles!! I love birthdays and this was the perfect 21st birthday!!

14,110 Feet High: Pikes Peak

After I survived finals we headed over to Colorado to spend some time with my fam. While we were there we went to Pagosa Springs, Royal Gorge (Elizabeth called it Flaming George because there was a man dressed in pink) and finished by driving up to the top of Pikes Peak.

Pagosa Springs was absolutely amazing! There were 20 different hot springs that ranged from 90 degrees to about 120 degrees and people were actually completely submersed in the pools! It was very relaxing and felt wonderful.

During the day we went to Mesa Verde to see the "Ancestral Publeoan" buildings (Anasazi isn't politically correct anymore). They were pretty neat!

We also went to Royal Gorge, which is the highest suspension bridge in the world. We took a train down to the bottom of the Gorge by the river and I couldn't believe how steep it was! It was like a roller coaster that went very slow, which almost made it more scary.

Pikes Peak was a beautiful, mountainous 2 hour drive round trip up a steep switchback road. When we finally reached the top it was 50 degrees and we all were freezing!! It was so fun to be with my family and I love Colorado.

Our First Attempt in the Blogosphere

This is Adam.....this will probably be the only time you hear from me. It's late and my wife is doing jumping jacks and running around the hot chocolate (aka - coffee) table in the living room in preparation for our cycling class tomorrow morning at Gold's Gym. Meanwhile, I just finished off a yummy dish of sugar-free, fat-free chocolate pudding. It was as good as it sounds!!! If I were a true blogger, I would post a picture of the pudding, but alas, I am not.

I hereby hand over the reigns of the blogosphere to my wife Emily.

P.S. She looks really hot in her seaweed green/teal scrubs!!! (I'll post a picture of that later)
